Well Draco and I both reached level 80 (R4) in Rappelz this weekend. We were doing a lot of hardcore dungeon parties and have met some really cool people recently. However reaching level 80 is a little bittersweet. This is the first MMO that I have ever played, and at first I was quite resistant to it. I was convinced that I would hate it, and not make any friends. For Draco's sake I gave it a try and also began to get to know all of you here on the forum. You are some of the most important people in Draco's life and I was very happy to feel welcome and liked by you all. It was really fun playing with you guys on Rappelz and taking funny screenshots of all of us as pets. Fou and Exun threatening to make Tortus nuggets out of Rupers, and Poultry Legs out of CorrNia. I believe getting to play with you in addition to Draco, convinced me that there was something to this MMO thing.

I know that when Draco and I left the overnight shift we were no longer on when the majority of you were online. Then a few weeks passed and no sight of anyone on our days off, and levels that were frozen in time. Now that it is just Draco and I, people ask about our guild, and it always makes Draco sad that he has to explain we are the only ones left. I just felt like saying all of this, not to guilt anyone into playing again (not that I would object). More to just say what I was feeling when I actually made it to R4, which took a lot of effort and determination to buckle down and to achieve. I attribute my enjoying this game this much to everyone here on the forum, helping me out and encouraging me to stick with it.

Well hope my first post was adequate. Surprisingly no mention of Hockey or Queen in the blog yet! I am sure that will not last...

Well the level and time difference is a difficult problem to overcome.
I logged in from time to time (perhaps you saw that i greeted you) but , as usual, noone was on so i logged out again soon.
It's nearly the same than with Rohan, some small chamges in the lives of everyone, some get bored and stuff like that and the guild breaks slowly ingame.
I have to admit through that Rappelz makes it rather difficult to fill your friend list properly.
The only times you party are usually in dungeons and that's too common to actually collect friend there Sad

The only options to get everyone together again would be to switch to another game (i'm trying some already) or to create new characters in Rappelz so that we are at a similiar level again.
That would still leave the time problem through.

Mind telling me when your dayoffs are?
I wouldn't (probably) mind coming back when there is someone to chat with.^^

How is the sssassination work going btw?

I totally understand your points... I of course don't have a lot of previous games to compare with Rappelz, but I can understand how hard it can be to keep a guild together. My days off are Sunday and Wednesday, and Draco is off on Tuesday and Wednesday. The assassin is coming together very nicely. Perhaps you can stop by sometime and I can show you how awesome I look with R4 equipment. The new skills are fun too. Kar hit level 79 last night (he is now sharing some play time with my 74 Salamander) and would like to say hi as well I am sure.

My only reason for starting Rappelz was to play with everyone again but the timedifference is a problem and Rappelz wasn't that enjoyable that I wanted to play by myself to keep up with lvl.

It was also a bit different with Rohan, I remember how we made a big party as noobies and then ran around exploring and leveling together. And It was so much fun since Rohan was new at that time and everybody was still at a low lvl Smile

I want to be able to finf a game again that we can start like that in Smile

I don't know if anyone have tried it yet but Pandora came out not long ago. Haven't tried it myself but I remember someone mentioning it here at the forums.

We'd still have time problems just because of how schedules are and so on. But we all (I'm sure) would love to have a game like that again -- Running around as newbs and learning to game all together. Work prevents me from being able to do that, Mally also. Ash is in school, not sure what Exun, Katsi, and Fou have going on but I'm sure they have work/school also that gets in the way. The only thing we can do is try to keep up with each other and play together on days off and so on. Even though it's incredibly lame that it couldn't be every day at least we'd be able to chat and catch up for the week we missed and so on. I'm not against starting another character in Rappelz and playing it only when y'all are online or something. At least then I'd LVL with y'all and we'd have fun together.

Well, how about agreeing on a day then. Wednesday seems to be our best bet so far.^^
I got time the next 2 weeks so i'll try out Pandora.
I've also tried out Florensia and the ships are nice (i like sinking pirate ships^^).
Any other ideas? I would prefer something cute this time.

Mally and I did start newb characters last night and they are just over Lv20 now. If you want to continue in Rappelz with us from time to time on those we can play our main characters all other days or something.

It's pretty funny though. We've basically LVLed by putting our Lv80ish pets on those characters and letting the pets do all the killing. We're being power LVLed by our pets. So I'll have to go into the dungeon and learn how to tank if I'm going to be any good at tanking. LMAO. Or I need to get a pet specifically to be the tank and I'll be the backup since I have single mob taunts. I'm not sure when I get an AoE taunt, maybe 2nd job class... But you all know my tank, Devolin!

PS: I think Mally wants to LVL that specific newb up higher though. So she might need to make another for this purpose.

I've downloaded but haven't had muck time to actually play it.
If you want something cute then there's Luna, but I think it might be too cute xD
Other than that I haven't tried any other games... I almost miss Rohan a bit... Liked the graphic and everything in it... Could've had a more quest and maybe more maps though..

Hi all... Sorry I haven't been playing or visiting the forum recently.
I have to admit I also agree with FouLu. Whenever I come on I kind of get put off playing because of the level difference and don't want to keep grinding just to catch up. In some ways, I prefer Rohan bit more and miss my Templar there.

I've been so busy at work lately when I get home I'm so tired I've just been lazing and watching TV/anime.

Yes... I'm the worse IT techy ever LMAO!! I made restore discs after installling all my favorite programs onto it, then the damn thing failed on me and I had to install a temporary OS to get it working. Tomorrow I'm sending it off to get restored, not sure how long it may take though Sad

So yes I'll be without my laptop for a while T_T

I forgot to mention that I got sucked into maintaining my little farm on facebook *hides*

The issue I have with Rohan is that too many PPL were morons that ran around doing nothing but PKing lower LVLs because they had nothing better to do with their lives. Everything I hear from Merl and also the last time Aurora posted said that the guild she is in is the one that runs around killing everyone. So it's still going on in Rohan, I like Rappelz in the sense that everyone has the ability to PK anyone at any time, but they're not stopping PPL from playing the game or anything else. I like to play when I play, not always be in a state of war. Otherwise, I would go back to Rohan.

Speaking about Rohan.. Seems they have merged the servers into 2 and created a new one.
Think I'm going to play a bit on the new server that's created, might be fun Smile

hey guys srry wasnt able to do anything fr the last few weeks still gt some assignments to do and my landlord asked me to move so searching fr a house now >.<......when i get the time ill def come on...or any other game u guys try....but i guess its gonna be like this till i fin uni which is next dec....man i miss the good old no care in the work gamin days......its mainly coz i gt a parttime job too so blah...lifes sad...

Well as for Pandora, it seems nice and our Friends from Aeth being there already is definatly a plus.^^
The text is a bit small but you can get used to it (dawn, i'll have to wear my glasses at while playing for a while). You can change the size for the text in the chat window through.
I couldn't find anything else to bother me so far. Didn't have much time for it yet through.
